"after three years you finally get it-- and he has a tail."

Here's a broken description of what went on this weekend;

It all started on Thursday night when JB tweeted the location & time of a Road Dogs game for the following day in New Jersey. Julie and Katie had the day off on Friday, Katie wasn't going to a show, and I was feeling like I needed to see them or my head would explode. Before we knew it it was 1am Sarah and I were in the car on the way to pick Katie up, by 5am Julie was loading her stuff in the car [and I was driving off without her- "JULIE'S NOT IN THE CAR?!?!?"], and by 6am we were all on the road to Camden, New Jersey. We did not get lost once. We only stopped twice to pee. We did not hit any traffic. We pulled into Camden at 11:30, found a parking spot at the stadium like 50 feet from the enterance, walked in, got great seats behind the dugout and the game started. If anything had taken up just 20 minutes of our time, if I had left 20 minutes later, if we hadn't met Julie at the park & ride instead of her house, if we had hesitated in just getting in the car and going for it, we would not have made the game. The game was SO MUCH FUN. Jonas sing alongs, MOTOWN PHILLY, the closest thing I'll get to dancing with Kev, Garbo wearing his glasses, Kevin's jazz hands, Flawless' underpants, Tonto JUMP ON IT, excessive amounts of bubble gum, Ferris Bueller, orange gatorade, Nick being extremely sweaty and tan, tightie blackies, etc. Said hello to Christa Black (AH;SLDAGK;DSLGAK OMG :]), talked to John Taylor (omfg omfg omfg), talked to Mama for a minute, chatted it up and had a super awkward but HILARIOUS conversation with Papa about the new single, and shook Nick's hand. Done.

After the game we drove to PA, talked in fake Kevin voices, re-named nick John Adams, got gas, got sandwiches, water, gatorade, slushies, etc and decided to get the hell out of Camden. Slept for 20 minutes at a rest stop on the highway and drove to Wyckoff. Katie, Julie, and Sarah had never been so we stopped by the old house, went to the playground at their old elementary school, picked out our future houses ("OH MY GOD THERE'S A CUL DE SAC WE CAN ROLLERBLADE AND DRAW WITH CHALK AND DRIVE LIKE THISSSSSSSS"), and proceeded to Rita's. By this time it was about 8pm and we still had 6 hours between us and a bed to crash in but we didn't care-- we needed Rita's. Best decision ever. Filled our bellies with 835048 gelatis and finally got in the car and headed home. 30 minute break at a rest stop in Connecticut. Made it to Framingham at around 1:30am on Saturday to pick up Julie's car and head to her apartment. It wasn't until this point that driving became almost impossible. I was hallucinating; reflections on the road became people rowing boats, the car in front of me looked like a giant human head, things started sounding weird. Katie and I turned on the AC full blast, turned up the radio as loud as it would go and the first song that came on was Higher Love. The second song that came on was Radio Radio by Elvis Costello. These songs and the ones that followed on the 40 minute drive to Julie's apartment disolved any doubt in my mind that a) we were supposed to be there and b) there was something getting us home that night. It was incredible, and there were so many moments like this that I know I'm forgetting like everything. It was just AMAZING.

mood: tired. tired.

I'm not going to post all of the pictures I edited from this weekend but I definitely want to post some of them in here without the shitty facebook re-size factor. so here goes. Unfortunately (obviously) I couldn't get my good camera into the concert so the concert pictures are pretty mediocre. here they are anyway!

I am a little sad to be making my last picture post of the tour but honestly I couldn't have asked for a more amazing time in New Jersey. It was relaxing, thrilling, mind-blowing, bittersweet, exhausting, and just plain fucking great. If I could re-wind this weekend over and over I would. But because I can't, these pictures will have to do the job.

Everyone Is Scared Of Your Apartment )
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!! See you next tour :[

obviously this is gonna be pretty image heavy

HANSON IN PROVIDENCE - 10/16/08

mood: busy busy

I'm putting this post together in the computer lab because I'm sick of everyone having to look @ facebook's shitty resized versions of all of my pictures. SO here it is; the first post of three (well five actually if you count the two I will be making after we get back from Jersey). Even if you've already seen the pictures on facebook you should look again; these are way better quality.

I'm SO modest~ )

The pictures from Providence aren't my favorite but I'll be making a post with Foxboro pictures either tonight or tomorrow afternoonish. Hope you liked them!!

THE WALK TOUR - SPRING 08

May. 7th, 2008 | 09:31 pm

Well I FINALLY have this put together; the picture/review/etc post from the Burlington, Northampton, and Hampton Beach dates on the 509830598th leg of The Walk Tour. It took me more time than usual for this round of tour pictures because of the nasty case of appendicitis that knocked me down about 30 minutes after we got home from tour, but now that I'm recovered I decided to put off my overdue schoolwork and crazy finals schedule so I could get this done because I totally couldn't concentrate without it posted.

I didn't take as many pictures as I usually would on this trip because to be honest I was too wrapped up in enjoying it and experiencing it through my eyes and not my camera lens, as cheesy as that sounds. Not only was it my birthday but this trip was also what I had been waiting for and what got me through some of the shittiest months in my life. Aaaand that's enough whining for now-- onto the post from possibly my favorite Hanson trip ever!!!

Enjoy!! :D

HERE IT IS. The picture post for the (long) weekend of July 18-22.

Last time I posted pictures from a Hanson concert was from the New Haven show in March. I left those pictures untagged for a while, and when I did finally tag them I put the tags at the bottom of the pictures and out of the way. That didn't end up working too well. This round of pictures have been tagged, and I'll be the first to admit that the tags are pretty obnoxious. But what's even more obnoxious is finding my pictures everywhere without credit to me at all. BUT! If you see any pictures that you are in or that you really like and want to have; let me know and I'll probably send the untagged versions to you as long as you credit me wherever they're used. I absolutely hate being a hardass about my pictures but I don't think I'm being too unfair.

Also, please don't hotlink these. Thanks!

I've decided not to write really anything about this weekend but to just post the pictures. This is partially because I'm too lazy to recap everything that happened in this AMAZING weekend, because words can't really do it justice, and because lots of other people have re-capped already. If you haven't heard about it enough already, you were there and experienced it all. So just enjoy the pictures :]

ahh, I can't wait until Sepetmber :]
